Birchbox: January & February 2015

Hello There!

It has been quite a while since I have featured a subscription box on my blog and I would like to get back into showing what I got each month.
I am kicking this off by looking back at my Birchboxes from January and February.

January's Box
The theme for this box was starting the New Year off right with a hearty "Let's Do This".

I absolutely love Tocca so I chose this as my sample pick and the rest was left up to fate.
I absolutely love Tocca products and I love having the little tubes to thrown in my handbag or take on trips. The scent I received is called Cleopatra and is grapefruit and cucumber so it is a very refreshing and revitalizing scent.

I have never tried It's a 10 products before (I know! Shock! Horror!) and I am totally regretting all the time my hair has gone without these amazing products.  I have been using the Miracle Leave-in Plus Keratin spray every morning and letting my hair air dry.  It leaves my hair silky, shiny, and smooth and I am head over heels for this stuff now.

This product is a BB Exclusive from Balance Me.  The Wonder Eye Cream is just absolutely wonderful! (hardy har har).  This absorbs right into my skin and is not greasy at all.  It also smells great and it helps any under eye makeup go on smoother.  This is something I would definitely get in a full size.

This MyChelle sample of Argan Oil was another hit.  I loved it as a cuticle oil, as a hair oil, and as a facial oil (used sparingly) before bedtime.  This leaves anything it touches hydrated and soft.  This does have anti-aging properties, but I haven't necessarily noticed change there.

Last up in the box came the Manna Kadar Lip Locked lipstain, gloss, and primer all in one (or that is what it claims anyway).  This does go on very opaque, giving that to the primer claim, it does stain so that goes to the lipstain claim, but this isn't really glossy to be considered a lip gloss.
It did have a tendency to feel a bit heavy on my lips, but it did last a long time.

The color is very pretty and it is something that I would use occasionally, but not everyday.

January's Plus Items

As soon as I saw this sweatshirt I knew I had to have it.  It is so comfortable and incredibly well made.

Since trying this out through Birchbox I bought my own custom sweatshirt form Bow and Drape.  It says "Meowry Me Right Meow" like Marry Me Right Now...ya'know I'm milking all these engagement and marriage puns right meow.  I love this company and plan to get more items in the near future from them.

I was in need of a new travel mug and I loved the look of this one.  I love the quote on it, "Keep Not Settling" as a daily reminder to keep pushing myself.  It is a great size and I have been using it almost every morning to bring a hot or cold beverage with me to work.

February's Box
I decided to get the curated Rent The Runway: Guest Editor Box for this month.  I absolutely love the floral theme on the edges of the box, it is just so pretty!

I have never really loved any Dry Shampoo that I try.  It could be because my hair gets greasy after one day or that I hate the look and feel of too much product.  The Fekkai Blowout Hair Refresher is towards the top of my list for Dry Shampoos, but still not going to use this over shampooing my hair.
This one does smell much better than any others I have tried and actually made my hair smell clean, but it still didn't feel clean enough for me to get out of the house without shampooing.

I absolutely love this derma e face scrub.  It makes my face feel clean and soft without drying it out or irritating it.  It seems to actually help to clean out my pores and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.  I will be getting a full size of this once the sample runs out because I loved it that much!

This body wash by Not Soap, Radio has such a cute name and it smells great.  This lathers up nicely and doesn't seem to leave residue.  I tend to prefer body wash with hydrating properties so I don't think I'd purchase this.

I have tried a lot of theBalm's products and now I'm adding Read My Lips to my long list of favorites.  I love their cheeky packaging.

This gloss is a gorgeous color and is so pigmented. It is a little sticky which I don't really like, but it's not so bad that I could never wear it.

I have tried Sumita eyeliners in the past and I love the formula.  They are creamy and can be blended out to be smokey or even used as a shadow.  Once you get them on the way you want and let it set they do not budge.

I love this gorgeous navy color as a pop of interest on a mostly neutral eye look.

February's Plus Item
I had been eyeing the Limited Edition Home Sweet Homespun box so I was so excited when I saw it was on discount as a plus item.  I have not been disappointed by the contents and since they're already scattered through my apartment and handbag I had to grab the picture from Birchbox's website of the contents!
