March Love in a Box Blogger Swap with The Anna Belle Blog

This month I decided to try out the Love in a Box Blogger Swap.

You get paired up with another blogger to create a box of goodies for them.  I had so much fun putting together the box and it was so exciting to get my box in the mail.

I was paired with The Anna Belle Blog who blogs about everything from fashion to travel.  Being paired up with her through this swap was my first time seeing her blog and I honestly love it.  Her fashion pairings are amazing and always on point.  I also love living vicariously through her when she does her travel posts.  Her most recent travel post has me seriously wanderlusting!
She also has a kitty and did an absolutely adorable cat inspired outfit post up last month that had me wishlisting everything!

If you have not heard of Anna then definitely go check out her blog and subscribe, you won't regret it!

Go see what I got her here!

Before I get into what she sent me, check out the adorable packaging!
"One of my favorites"

"For catching ideas"

"To feel beautiful"

"For pretty #motd"

"Smells so good!"

"For your sweet tooth"

"To: Your Furbaby, From: mine"

It was so sweet of her to include a gift for my kitty and I'll tell you she absolutely loves this adorable toy.

It is a pink flamingo filled to bursting with catnip.  I think I love it as much as she does because it is so dang cute!

I am in love with everything in this box.  The hand cream smells AMAZING and makes my hands so soft and hydrated.  I actually just had to throw out my nail buff square so I was pumped to get a new one in here along with some fun polish.  Those Yes To wipes are my favorite and I am stoked to have a little pack to throw in my purse.  The little makeup bag is also perfect to store the wipes in when they're in my purse.
The goody hair elastics are also some of my favorites because they don't get my hair all tangled.  I am super excited to try out the ELF all over color stick because I don't have anything like this in my collection already (as hard as that may be to believe).  The Peeps balm is so darn cute and I LOVE peeps!  EOS balm is a staple in my house so this will definitely be put to good use.
All of the stationary supplies are beyond adorable.  I just love having new cute note pads to write on.  The chalkboard coasters are really neat, I have never seen anything like them before!
Of course to satisfy my sweet tooth she included delicious Jelly Belly's which may or may not be almost gone by the time I'm writing this post...whoops (#sorrynotsorry).

I had so much fun doing this blogger box swap and can't wait to do it again.
If you are interested in participating the details are below.

Pamper Day!

Hello There!

I wanted to share with you my favorite ways to have a pamper day.

First I usually put on a face mask so that it can do its thing while I am doing the rest of pampering.
I have been mainly using the Boots Botanics Clay Mask because it really draws out all the impurities in my skin.

Then I usually give myself a mani/pedi while the mask is drying.  I did my pamper day yesterday when it was St. Patrick's Day so I gave myself a Shamrock inspired mani.  For my toes I used a new Ten Over Ten for J.Crew polish.

At this point the mask has dried and I hop into the shower to rinse it off and give my hair and skin some love.
I use the Body Shop's Body Scrub all over to get the dead skin off, right now I am using the Mango scented one.  I usually use a hair mask on my hair once a week at least and I love the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque because it really hydrates my hair and makes it soft and shiny.  Before I get out of the shower I use the No More Rough Stuff pumice from The Body Shop because it works so amazingly well to get all the dead skin off my feet and makes my feet so soft.

When I get out of the shower I make sure to hydrate my skin with a good body cream.  My favorite body cream currently is The Body Shop's Body Butter in Mango because the fruity scent is so refreshing and it helps to hydrate my skin.

Everyone should pamper themselves and you can do it at home so easily!

If you want to purchase any of the items I have mentioned I have put them into a collection on Luvocracy for you!
I hope you have a fantastic day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Links to all the items on Luvocracy!

This is very similar to what I ended up wearing today for St. Patrick's Day.  I am actually Irish and very proud of it.

The outfit I picked out is very spring inspired and uses mint instead of a traditional kelly green.

I am wearing Target yoga pants, a white tank, and a mint cardigan.  To cinch in the cardigan I threw the pink belt with the gold bow on and added the scarf for some extra color.
I am wearing my coral ballasox, but I love the pistachio/mint shade of the ones above.

I also did my nails.  I painted them all over with Zoya's Giovanna and then made a shamrock on my ring finger using Essie's Mint Candy Apple.  To create the shamrock I made four little hearts using a paperclip end then added a stem!  It was so easy!

I hope you have a wonderful and safe St. Patrick's Day!

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!

1-2-3-4-5-6-7

Hello!
I was asked by Kendra Thornton to create a look for a night out in Vegas.

Kendra is a Travel Expert, but wanted a little help in the style department.

Here is a little bit about the challenge to create her a look!

"Help Me Step Out in Sin City in Style
I’m a mother looking for some inspiration for my Sin City style. Let me explain this from the beginning. I love being a mom, but it’s time for me to plan a getaway. Some friends and I will be enjoy a stay in Las Vegas soon, and I want to look my best when we enjoy an evening at The Palms Casino and Resort. I’m asking you to help by offering ideas for an outfit. To provide you with a little inspiration, I’ve included a description of one of the bars we plan to hit that evening.
Scarlet Bar
Mixology has become a fun pastime of mine. I love learning about new cocktails, and occasionally I try my hand at mixing them for my husband and me to sample at home. I’m thrilled to be visiting a tiny bar tucked into a corner of the massive casino at The Palms where signature mixology takes place nightly. Scarlet Bar features the creations of a world-renowned mixologist. House favorites include drinks such as Scarlet G&T, Vacation in Brazil, Spice of Life, Far and Away, and Abandon Ship. Of course, I need to look fabulous in whatever outfit I choose for the evening because Scarlet Bar is also known for its dramatic lighting. I can’t have the d├ęcor outshining me.
Las Vegas Style
Every city has its own unique style, and Las Vegas features a style to which no other city can compare. Every time I visit, I’m overwhelmed by the endless things to do and places to see. This is why I turned to Gogobot to read the reviews on the Las Vegas hotels and things to do and determine exactly what would make my trip perfect! Whatever activities I enjoy in Sin City, I know I’ll have a better time if I look my best. I’m excited to see the fashions you recommend for my big night in the big city. While you’re considering my new look, think about taking a trip to Las Vegas yourself. A woman needs an excuse to buy a new outfit every once in a while, right?"

So for the look I created I wanted Kendra to stand out in a crowd and against the lighting in Sin City.
For her hair I would have her gorgeous blonde locks piled on her head in a messy top knot/bun.  For makeup I would give her a smoky eye with a bit of a wing and a bold red lip.  To tie in the red lip I would also have her nails painted in Essie's Really Red.
For the look itself I kept with a gold, black, and white palette to keep it simple, but chic.  I think she would look stunning in a pair of amazing leather leggings.  The cami has shiny black and gold sequins in an intricate design to help the lights make her shine.  To top the look off I added a crisp white blazer.
For accessories I added a pair of amazing heels that look simple from the front, but you get the cool pop of stripes down the heel.  To draw that in more I added a cross body bag that can also double as a clutch instead in a black and white striped pattern.  For jewelry I kept it simple to let the top stand out and just added black and gold arrow shaped earrings.

In all I think this look would help her stand out in Vegas among all the glitz!

Check out Kendra on Twitter, Facebook, and her Website for the best travel information!

You can see the whole look on pinterest too!

D.I.Y.: Custom Tray

I was feeling crafty so I went to Target and got a few supplies to make a custom tray for my vanity.

The Supplies:
You don't need these, but they do help so your furniture does not get scratched and so that the frame does not move around.  I found these in the home wares aisle at Target near the command strips.  These have all different sizes so I thought this would be the most handy.  I used the ones in the bottom right of the package for my frame.

You will also need some sort of paper to use as your background.  I found these sheets in the dollar section at Target.  You could also use wrapping paper, make a collage of your favorite pictures that is the size of your frame, use tissue paper, etc.  I also picked up some lettering (again from the dollar section) in case I decided to write out a quote onto the paper.

You will need scissors to cut your paper!

You will also need a frame.  Pick out any frame you like and any size.  There are no rules when it comes to choosing your frame.  I chose a shadow box frame because it did not have a frame support that I would have to rip off (if yours has the little frame support then just rip that off so your frame will sit level).
Also, if you don't like the color of your frame pick up some spray paint or acrylic paint and change it!

The Steps:
Go ahead and pick out the best grippers for your frame and stick them on!

Take your paper and trim it to the size of the frame (mine was actually a tad too short so I trimmed what I needed and then added an extra strip to the end, you cannot even tell!).
Once you have the paper background all done then go ahead and either leave it just as it is or decorate it.  I had this cute card so I cut the front off and taped it onto the background.

Put the paper in and slide your glass back into your frame and tah-dah!  You're done!  Now put it on your vanity and put your favorite bits on display.

If you prefer you could just decorate the paper and put it up on your vanity instead or using it as a tray.  Whatever you please!

Alrighty, that's pretty much it.  Super customize-able decoration that took no time at all and ended up being so cute.  Plus you can change out the background per the season or your mood!

I hope you enjoyed this do it yourself tutorial!
