September Favorites

I did not get a chance to do August favorites before it became far too late and I honestly did not really have any huge favorites for August.  Here is what I have loved and been loving through September.

Clothes and Accessories
I have been loving this 3/4 Sleeve Sequined Tee in Sea Salt.  It is a thicker shirt which is perfect for Fall and is an ivory color with light rose gold sequined dots.  I also love and want to get the sweatshirt version.
I also bought my first pair of Sperry's.  I saw these leopard loafers and fell in love.  They are so incredibly comfortable and I always get stopped and complimented on them when I wear them.
I did a whole (rather lengthy) post on my quest for my 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target bag.  I have been using it all month and am still so happy with it.  I just love how it looks amazing with everything and holds all my day to day necessities.
I have been loving rose gold this month and often pair these two Bauble Bar necklaces together.
I like that pairing the Rose Gold Double Curb Chain with the Maharaja Fringe Strand makes the chains less hard and more feminine.

Here are the necklaces layered.  I just love how it looks!

I am absolutely in love with this Rose Gold Zigzag bracelet.  This is again from Bauble Bar (I am only a smidge obsessed with them) and I got it during the Buried Bauble a few weeks ago.  It is so sparkly that I find myself staring at it and ogling its glittery goodness.
Unfortunately, this beauty is not anywhere on the website anymore, but you can get your shiny rose gold fix with this or this.

I have been loving my Jouer SPF 15 Lip Sheer in Maui.  It is a my lips but better color on me and goes on so smoothly.  I have been using this everyday this past month and will continue to do so.  This was one of my first Jouer products and I am extremely impressed.
I got a sample for the Vitalumiere Aqua by Chanel in #30 Beige.  This sample lasted me two days and I am now dying to have the full size.  It goes on so smoothly and feels amazing on.  It has SPF 15 and is light, but still offers a bit of coverage.
This Jouer Mattifying Bronzer in Sunswept was my other first Jouer purchase and I really love this bronzer.  I have not used a lot of bronzers as I have found them too muddy or dark for my skin.  This gives me a beautiful glow and works well all over my face as well as for just a contour.

I re-discovered this Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in Black.  It makes my lashes bold and long.  I can even wear this on its own without anything else and it makes me look put together.
Here you can see it in action.  This is after having it on for 12+hours today.  My lashes are still looking long and curled and there is absolutely no flaking.  I am also wearing nothing but this mascara on my eyes.

Beauty Bits
I gave my Mom my Bioderma to test out and needed to get a new makeup remover cleansing water and had heard great things about this Caudalie one so I picked it up.  It is a great travel sized one and works just as well as the Bioderma, except that this can sting my eyes a bit if I am not careful.
I got the Amika Bombshell Blow Up Spray in my September's Birchbox and love how it smoothes and tames my hair when I blow dry it.  It makes my hair shiny and silky and has that just back from the hair salon feel to my hair when I use it.
I h ave had this Fresh Citron de Vigne Eau de Parfume for awhile, but started to use it again as it is a great spicy fall scent.

I have been using this Owl mug from Target non-stop since I got it.  It is just too cute!

Every chance I get I stop at Starbucks for a PSL!

I have been re-watching Glee this month (in between watching The Nightmare Before Christmas).  It has made me realize how much I love the original cast.

Because I have been watching so much Glee I have re-found some of my favorite covers they did on the show.  One of my all time favorites is their cover of "Marry You".

I hope you all had a fantastic September!

Document Your Autumn Day 5

Today's activity was to make your favorite Autumn drink then spill it on your notebook.  I didn't make this coffee, but I had it from lunch today and it is a pumpkin iced coffee.  I love any kind of pumpkin coffee for Fall!

Document Your Autumn Day 4

Day 4 is to use any medium to document the colors of Fall.  I found some colored pencils and used my sharpies and a pen.

My colors of Fall are Tea/Cocoa in a mug, leaves, PSL from Starbucks, Jack 'o' Lanterns and pumpkins, bats and cats, plaid scarves, riding boots and emu's, fall candles, and another kitty!

Here is my chicken scratch interpreted:
I don't really associate any books with a particular season, but I always look forward to the Fall issues of my magazines.

I do plan to read The Fault in Our Stars that my Mom loaned to me and I also plan to re-read Harry Potter this Fall.

September 2013 Birchbox

Here is my September Birchbox!  This month's theme is heritage.

Here is the card about the theme for the month.
This is the list of all the products in the box.
I loved this little card with some nice buzzwords on it.

I have used a few Amika products in the past and have been impressed by all of them.  The Bombshell Blow Up Spray gave me much needed volume and smoothed my hair.  I used it on wet/damp hair before blow drying and it worked very nicely.  It did not make my hair sticky as others reported.  This is something I would purchase in the future.
I was very excited about this Ruffian collection nail lacquer being in my box.  The formula of the polish is not streaky and goes on with nice opacity with only one or two coats.
I love the bottle's design as the top is perfect for gripping in either left or right hand to pain your nails.

I got the shade Hedge Fund which is a khaki/army green color with a gold shimmer to it.
I really love this color and I added a bit of gold polish as a half moon/half nail design to pick up more of the gold tones.

I was jealous when other people had gotten the Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips in their boxes a few months back and was thrilled to see it in my box this month.  I suffer from chronic dry lips all year 'round. A little of this goes a long way in relieving my dry skin and making my lips baby smooth.
I will definitely purchase a full size of this when this little tube runs out.
I have been using the Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm as a primer and it works beautifully for that.  It can work on its own, but I prefer it as a primer as it has a high SPF 45 in it and it works better for me that way.  I am neither crazy for this nor do I hate it.  I will use it while I have it and may purchase it in the future, but I won't be dying for it when I run out.
The last sample is the Eyeko Black Magic mascara.  I like the packaging on this mascara, but other than that this product did not really do it for me.  For the steep full size price of $24 I do not think this is worth it.  It did not give my lashes any volume and really only made them darker.  I am not a fan of this, but maybe it would work better for someone who has naturally curled lashes.

Here comes the cat.  As soon as I try to start setting up she hops up.

Document Your Autumn Day 2

Today is Day 2 of document your Autumn.
Today you were to look out the nearest window and draw/write down the first 3 signs of Fall you see.
As you can see by my sombrero hat looking leaf I am not much of an artist so I wrote down my 3 things I saw.

1) Beautiful red leaves across the street ( see below)

2) Cool breeze
3) people out in cuddly sweaters and scarves

Check out Day 1!
