Fall Favorites: Scents, Treats, Haunts, and Sights

Fall is my favorite season for the flavors, places we visit, and beautiful sights.

I love fall for all of these reasons!

These are some scents and treats I have picked up in the past week or so.

I love Bath and Body Works candles this time of year.  These are some of the ones we have right now.  I think my favorite is the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin scent.  We also have Spiced Cider, Autumn, and Cider Donut.

I picked up a few of my favorite fall candy at the grocer as well.  I love laffy taffy, anything caramel apple, candy corn, mini candy bars, and my all time favorite Reese's pumpkins.  There are a few others I love, but they did not have yet are seasonal peeps and dots.

Today I got my first Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks of the season.  It was very humid today so I got it iced and it was so delicious.  I have always had it hot, but the iced is just as good.

There is a farm we go to called The Big Apple.  They have the best cider donuts and so many apples.  We love taking walks down there when we are at J's parents house because it's a nice walk and the treats are always amazing.

I love the look and smell of the turning leaves.  I went to College in Vermont and the best foliage is up there.  It is just stunning the bright colors of the leaves on the trees and the ground.

Today there is a puppy cameo!  This is Cales and she is the sweetest Cairn (one of J's family's dogs).  We took her on a walk today and wished it was a bit cooler so we could have walked longer.

Fall Favorites: Clothes

This is the third installment of my Fall favorites.  This time I am talking about some of my favorite clothing items to wear in fall.

I wear leggings and jeggings pretty much year round, but in fall they are especially nice.  They are great with boots and flats and are always warm and comfortable.  My favorite leggings are from Target, Victoria's Secret, and Threads for Thought.
I love the Simply Vera Vera Wang jeggings I bought last year from Kohl's they look just like real jeans are an so incredibly comfortable.  It took me ages to find jeggings I actually liked and I am so pleased I found these!

I love big sweaters for Fall to pair with my leggings and jeggings.  I bought this Multi-way Tunic Sweater from Victoria's Secret last year in three colors because I loved it so much.  I will probably order more this year too as they are just so comfortable.

I also love cardigans, graphic sweaters, and vests for fall and transitioning to winter.
The mint tribal sweater on the left is from Kiki La 'Rue and it became a fast favorite of mine when I bought it last year.  It is so warm and very comfortable.
The Oh My Chic sweater is from ILY Couture and is fantastic paired with jeans or jeggings, leopard flats, and a statement necklace.
The vest on the right is from Old Navy a few years ago.  It is a neutral tan/oatmeal color so it goes with a lot of different outfits.  I put this on over anything that needs a bit of something or a top that might be too cold by itself.

The only way I could get the cat to stop trying to play with my clothes I was photographing was to give her a toy of her own.  What a pest!

Fall Favorites: Accessories

This is the second installment of my fall favorites and these are my favorite fall accessories.  I switch handbags fairly often so I did not include one, but here are a few other things I wear mainly in fall (some stretch to winter too).

I love these feather and chain earrings.  I think I got them at Forever 21 or Target quite a few years ago now.  They look great with a snood and my hair in a high bun.

I got these Tory Burch earrings in May, but the burgundy color is perfect for fall.

I got this statement flower ring a few years ago at Forever 21.  I usually wear it on my right pointer finger.  It used to be gold, but now it is a brass color because it is cheap and I wear it a lot.

These scarves Jeremy's Mom, Lin, has made me for the past two Christmases.  I absolutely love them both and am so excited for cooler weather so I can wear them.

They grey one on the left above is from last winter and has pretty clear, champagne, black, and grey shiny beading through the netted part.  It looks great with a plain shirt and boots.  The scarf on the right above is from the Christmas before last and I love wearing it on extra cold days as it is less delicate than the gray, but the multi-colors make it go with everything and it is unbelievably warm.

I also like wearing these two snoods I got three years ago in the winter.  I got them off Piperlime and they are by the brand Tinley Road.  These are very cozy and keep my neck warm on colder days.  I  have it in a dark heather gray and light heather gray so they go with everything.

I love slippers and these are a pair that I love wearing in fall.  My Mom got me these a few years ago for Christmas and they are so cute and comfy.  I have an obsession with sheep and hot pink so these are perfect.  They are also warm and have non-slip grips on the bottom so my clumsy self does not fall in them.

Here is the cat trying to be cute while I take pictures (okay...maybe she is succeeding...).

Fall Favorites: Shoes

So, yes.  I am completely in Fall mode even though we've got one weekend of August left.

I wanted to start off my Fall loving by talking about my favorite shoes to wear in fall.

These four pairs of shoes are my go-to's for fall.

I bought my Tretorn boots a few years ago and I love them.  I bought them on Hautelook because I needed a new pair of rain boots, they were pink, and were not expensive.  They are so comfortable and are definitely completely waterproof.  This fall I will be buying some new boot socks for them to make them even more cozy for rainy fall days.  I cannot find these exact ones anymore, but they have some other cute ones on their website.

I bought these sequined "Critter Flats" by Mudd from Kohl's last winter.  They are so comfortable and warm with the fleecy lining and so adorable with the little cat face.  I love the sequins too, they jazz these up a bit.  They have new leather looking "Critter Flats" this year that I am dying for, they are not fleecy inside, but are still so cute.

I got these for Christmas last year from my  Dad because my grey Emus got very gross (I had them for over five years).  I love these boots so much.  They are so comfortable and warm and very water resistant.  I personally prefer these over Uggs because I have had very bad experiences with Uggs wearing out in the heel and causing me to bleed everywhere (ridiculously painful and annoying).  I have never had that problem with Emus so for me that is why I choose these.

I am obsessed with these Tommy Hilfiger boots my Dad also got me last Christmas.  The back has elastic which I love because it gives me room to shove my jeans/jeggings into the boots.

These are so comfortable and I love the color.  I wore these so much last Fall and Winter and cannot wait to wear them again when it gets a bit cooler.

The detail on the strap is so pretty and again I just love the color.  It took me so long to finally find a pair of brown boots that I liked and that fit me and these are perfect.  They have some nice boots out this year, but none with the elastic again, yet anyway.

Kitty loves my leather boots and ran over to sit next to them when I tried to take pictures (haha).

Monday Motivation

Hello Lovelies!

It's is Monday again and a long Monday it's been!  I am still a bit pooped from helping my Mom yesterday with her friends baby shower, but it was so worth it to see how happy she was!

Here are some things to perk up your sleepy Monday.

I just get so happy looking at these gorgeous flowers in the pretty vase on top of vintage books.  Everything about this is perfection!

This is so true.  I love inspiring body image quotes!

Hope you have a bearable Monday!

August 2013 Ipsy Bag

This is my August Ipsy Bag!  I don't love or hate the bag style this month it's just "meh".

I got the Pixi Lash Booster Mascara in my bag this month.  I honestly do not care for this mascara at all.  It did not doing anything great and made my lashes feel a bit crunchy.  I am not impressed and will not use this any longer.
I have heard so many people raving about Michael Todd products, but I have never used them myself.  I love this facial scrub.  I have used it twice and already see improvement with the blackheads around my nose disappearing.  Once I finish up this sample of the Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub I will definitely purchase a full size.
The bag also included the Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream.  This cream did give a nice glow, but I found it too loose.
The color matched my skin tone alright, but the loose formula made it slip around on my skin.  I do not plan to purchase this full size.
I got a NYX blush in my bag this month.  Though I would call this more of a bronzer than a blush.
I got mine in the color PB21 Copper and this is a full size "blush".
The shade is very shimmery so I do not think I will use it as a blush or bronzer, but maybe as an eyeshadow as it works better on the lids for me.
This noya Vanilla Lip Balm is amazing.  It is extremely moisturizing and the scent/flavor is not overwhelming at all.  It is also a full sized sample.
I put it on every morning and night now and it leaves my lips silky smooth.  I will definitely purchase this again when this one runs out.

Kitty looked cute and derpy rolling around on the bed when I was taking pictures so I had to include a shot of her.
