Happy Easter 2013!

Happy Easter Everyone!  If you don't celebrate Easter, then I hope you have a wonderful day and had a great weekend!  The picture above is from the card my boyfriend gave to me today.  It is so cute and all the pink bits have glitter.

My Mom sent me an Easter basket a bit ago with delicious Harbor Sweets chocolates in it.  Their chocolate bunnies are UH-MAZING!.  Thanks Momma, you're the best!!!
One year when my brother and I were little had eaten far too much Easter candy we began yelling "Lappy Keister!" to everyone.  It's become our joke every since and we all say it to each other every year.  So Lappy Keister to one and all!

March 2013 GlossyBox

I had recently seen a deal on Daily Candy Deals where I could get 3 months of GlossyBox plus a free lipstick/lipgloss combo (if you use Outlook you can get a blush AND lipstick/lipgloss combo).  I had been seeing so many amazing boxes from GlossyBox on youtube and other blogs and this was the perfect excuse to give them a try.  The deal is still going on through April 2nd at 11PM (EST/ETD).  If you have been hesitant this is a great deal to give it a try!
Here's a look at the box inside the shipping box.  I love that the logo is everywhere and there is so much pink!
Every box comes with the GlossyBox Mag which is actually a good sized magazine filled with fashion and beauty trends.  I really like this feature as I do love getting and reading through magazines.
There was even an article on The Blonde Salad, a beyond amazing blogger. It was great to learn a bit more about such a chic, gorgeous blogger.

This is the inside of my box.  I love the pink ribbon and how just luxurious this box feels.  I am definitely going to re-purpose the ribbon for my hair as youtuber Leigh Ann Says often does.

Here is a look inside the card with a bit about each product included in my box.

Here is a look inside my box (keep in mind the lipstick on the far right was a bonus).

First up is the Elite Models Matt Liner in Matt Brown.    This is a dark brown liquid liner that actually comes out nicely.  The applicator has a nice narrow tip to it to make the perfect pointed cat liner.
This is a gel cheek and lip tint from ModelCo. I usually stay away from gel cheek stains as you have to work so fast with them to get them to work and not look like makeup.  It does say to not wipe it on, but to pat or tap it on which did work better than wiping.  I will have a swatch of this and all the other products at the very end.

I love this Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen.  The color I received is Mocha Mauve.  It's a pretty shimmery, bronzey brown.  Pixi's website describes it as a nude-y pink, I don't get much pink from it and it's definitely not as tame as I picture a nude would be.  It's very pretty and the formula of this is creamy and glides on very easily.

Okay, I just have to start by saying this soap smells amazing!  It's a Prestiche soap in Rosechella.  It is a rose soap with plumeria, hibiscus, shea, and a pure blend of beneficial oils. This soap is such a treat as it is very expensive (in my opinion) and it smells like all sorts of floral goodness.  I will definitely be using this when I shower today (TMI?).

I got the Sebastian Professional Shaper Fierce hairspray.  As I know I have stated before I do not typically use hairspray.  This one has rave reviews that it provides a non-gummy hold.  It is also supposed to be a build-able hairspray that has a flexible hold.  I will probably give this a go as I do with everything I get, but if I don't care for it my Mum may be getting this as she uses hairspray more frequently than I do.

The last hing in my box was my bonus for getting the deal through Daily Candy Deals.  You can get the Lip Luxe Sets on ModelCo's website or you can get the gloss and lipstick individually.  The lipstick I received is in Dust and the gloss is in Striptease.  The lipstick is very creamy and is a pretty neutral shade of pink.  The gloss is a pretty muted pink as well that is not stick at all which is very nice.

These are swatches I did of the products that are swatchable in the box.
The top is the ModelCo cheek and lip tint.
Next down is the gloss from the bonus.
Followed by a line stripe of the lipstick.
Then I put the lipstick with the gloss on top of it.
Next up is the liquid liner, you can tell a little better in this picture that it is a dark brown.
Last up is the Pixi shadow pen, see not much pink, much more brown.

Spring Quarter Fab Fit Fun VIP Box by Giuliana Rancic

For a long time I have been a follower of Fab Fit Fun which is largely in part run by Giuliana Rancic (who is all fab, gorgeous, and amazing).  They came out with quarterly VIP box recently that I signed up for and just got in the mail.  Overall I am very happy with everything in my box.   I will definitely stay on this one as it is only quarterly and had amazing products in it!

Here is the outside of the box.  I love look of it so far!
A letter inside from Giuliana explaining the box and the future of the service.
Here is a look at the front of the card that came in the box.
The Big Reveal!  This is standard in most subscription boxes to review what is in the box.  This one also has a surprise bonus gift that you'll see later.

This was a highly advertised feature in the box.  It is a full size Moroccanoil Treatment (3.4 fl. oz.) that also came with a pump to add to the awesomeness.  This was what had initially sold me on getting this box as the cost of this was more than the whole box already!
I have been out of Moroccanoil Treatment for such a long time so I am so excited to have it again.  I will admit I sort of got WAY too excited about the pump that was included as this just makes it so much easier to use.

I am capital O obsessed with this nail polish.  It is shiny with a bit of sparkle and the perfect shade of fuchsia. This Zoya polish unique to this box as this is the Fab Fit Fun Fuchsia, after their signature color (you can see it in the logo on the box).  All Zoya polishes are perfection though and well worth their cost.

I put this on as soon as I saw it in the box and I just love it.  It only took one coat (no base or top coat) to get the look you see on the right.

I was apprehensive about this Jouer gloss, but it is actually amazing.  It is clear with just a bit of shimmer once it is on and is very hydrating.

This gloss is called "glisten".  I find that to be a perfect name for it as it just makes your lips glisten with a hint of shine and kissableness.

I have received the thinkThin bars in my Pop Sugar Must Have box back in January.  I find them to actually be pretty tasty which is surprising as I do not care for most protein bars.  These don't have too much of that protein bar after taste which I think is why I do like them.

I received these earrings from JewelMint in my box that have dark purple, light green, mint, turquoise, and deep burgundy stones.  These are very pretty and will work well with many outfits.

This necklace, again from JewelMint,  is very unique looking.  My boyfriend actually said he really likes this one on my when I tried it on.  It has light rosey stones and brassy colored chains.  It is pretty long which I like and just looks very different from any other piece I currently own.  It is not something I would have picked out on my own, but I really do like it.

The last thing in the box was my surprise bonus gift.  I have heard a lot about Go Smile being a great whitening product.  This is the Go Smile On The Go Teeth Whitening Pen.  As my teeth are very sensitive I usually have a hard time with whitening products as they can be too severe.  I have been using a better sensitivity tooth paste so I may be able to give this a try.  I do have some discolored spots on my teeth that I hope this can fix.

Sweet Ear Lovin': Walk off the Earth

I recently heard that one of Walk off the Earth's singers, Sarah, will be singing a song on Volbeat's new album who my boyfriend got me into.  I had never heard WOTE and pulled up their website where I heard Red Hands.  I just love them now, so much ear joy when I was listening to their songs.  They sound very cohesive, if that makes sense, and so full of energy, life, and love.
I just purchased the album off itunes and have had their songs stuck in my head.  I especially like Summer Vibes, it's just the perfect look feel good song.

New Beauty: Moisturized Lips

I have been suffering lately from very dry lips so when I was at CVS I decided to pick up a few items to try.  you can get these products at your local drugstore like Walgreens, Rite Aid, and obviously CVS.  Some websites carry them as well like or
I have heard so much about the Maybeline Baby Lips so I picked up one of them.  I got it in the color Pink Punch.  I love that it gives a bit of pink color on my lips and it is so moisturizing.  It has a bit of a fruity flavor to it which I don't entirely care for.  I did have to reapply it a few times, but it is very nice.

I also picked up the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss.  They have a few different "flavors" so it was difficult to pick just one.  I really like this one as it has a lighter pink tint and smells AMAZING.  I like the scent of this much better than the baby lips and found it much more moisturizing.  I wish it came in a stick though as I don't really like applying it with my finger or trying to carry a lip brush with me all the time.

I also got my favorite tried and true Vaseline. I use this at night before I go to bed to keep my lips soft and moisturized overnight.  I love that they have these little guys now because it's also nice if my lips are having a particularly dry day to be able to take a little with me instead of a huge tub.

Small Haul: Balla Bracelets

I had ordered these bracelets and the earrings from Balla Bracelets a few weeks ago and just got them in the mail today.  I had gotten them through a promotion on Facebook so they were much cheaper than the advertised price and the earrings were free!
I picked the Pink Crystal Ball Bracelet.  It has gold beads and the middle three have pink crystals in them.  The bracelet is very sturdy and I love that it is adjustable.  I ordered the White Designer Balla Bracelet because it came with the free Silver White Crystal Balla Earrings.
So far I really like them as they seem very well made and therefore would stand the test of time and the amount of wear I plan to give them.
Check them out as they are always having deals so maybe you can get one or two of these beauty's for yourself.

March 2013 Beauty Box 5

I decided I'd try the Beauty Box 5 out for a month because I saw so many other people enjoying this box.  I am kind of "meh" on what was in it.
This may sound odd, but the font and design of their name really attracted me to this one.  I also love the nearly Tiffany blue color of the box.  The things that fill the box I'm not 100% on, but I will try it for one more month to see if I am impressed more next month.  Alright, now on to what's in the box!

This is by far my favorite thing in this box.  I love the mango scent of the Tree Hut Moisturizing lotion/body butter, it is amazing.  It is very moisturizing.  I used it last night before bed on a few very dry patches on my feet and they're so very soft even now an almost 24 hours later.  I will buy the full size of this as I am really loving it.

This is the H2O Plus Spa Sea Salt Body Wash it is described as "European sea salts gently draw out impurities and replenish essential nutrients, leaving skin healthy and luminous".  I am not sure about this one, some people say the smell is refreshing, my boyfriend and I are not convinced.  We both wrinkled our noses at it.  I have not tried it yet so maybe it will leave my skin healthy and luminous, but for now the smell is a bit bizarre.  It might be the green tea that's putting me off, but I am not sure.

The box also had H2O Plus' Eye Lift Concentrate which is supposed to "firm, lift, lighten, hydrate and repair" and it's also supposed to perform so well they claim "it's like they bottled sleep". I will probably give this one a try as it is about 3 times cheaper than the one I currently use, but we shall see if it holds up.

I received some nail polish remover pads in my Julep Spring Mystery Box, but it never hurts to have more! These La Fresh Nail Polish Remover Travel Wipes are always on sale on hautelook and I have heard great things about them.  It never hurts to have one or two of these thrown in your purse for when you need them in a pinch.

The Brazen Cosmetics Eyeshaow in Suburbia.  I tried to find the color on their website, but had no luck.  I really don't like glitter in my eyeshadow really so I don't particularly like this shadow.  It is very pigmented and is a loose mineral powder.  It seems to have staying power so maybe you would like it.

I swatched it on my hand.  This color is a dark brown with gold glitter in it.  I did not use any primer before taking the picture so you could see it bare. It is nice, just not for me.
